Are you ready to take your vendor game to the next level? Whether you are a seasoned vendor or just starting out, finding and securing spots at events can sometimes feel like a daunting task. But fear not! I am sharing 10 Winning Strategies that will not only simplify the process but also increase your chances of snagging spots at events.

  1. Trade shows and conferences- attend industry specific trade shows and conferences where you can meet organizers and learn about upcoming events.

  2. Google Alerts- set up google alerts for keywords related to events in your area. This way, you’ll be notified whenever new events are announced.

  3. Community Center and Libraries- Check with local community centers, libraries, or recreational facilities for information on events happening locally. Even local coffee shops have boards where they advertise and they even hang flyers on their windows.

  4. Social Media- follow relevant hashtags or join local business groups on social media platforms like Twitter(X), Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin. Organizer post on these platforms. Also, follow all local Farmers Markets. They post when their applications are open for the season. I also follow all the vendors attending the markets. They also post the events they will be at.

  5. Chamber of Commerce- Contact your local Chamber of Commerce or local business associations. They often have information about community events and may even organize some themselves.

  6. Networking- Reach out to other vendors or people in your industry and ask about upcoming events they know of or have participated in. This is a valuable resource.

  7. Local Directories- Eventbrite, Meetup, and Facebook Events are wonderful resources.

  8. Local Newspapers and Magazines- Keep an eye here for upcoming markets.

  9. Word of Mouth- Let people know you are interested in local events. You will be surprised at the connections people have to organizers and vendors.

  10. Online forums and groups- Join online forums or groups related to your industry or interests. Often members share information about upcoming events.
