2. Yarn: Choose a soft, medium-weight yarn in a color and texture you love. When I teach in-person classes I have medium-weight and bulky yarn because it knits up quickly. I try to have a project that you can finish in a sitting which I find is a key to ensuring beginners feel successful.

3. Scissors: A pair of sharp scissors are essential for cutting yarn.
